Five Months

It feels like just yesterday that I made a post sharing with the world that our family was about the add a third member...now he's 5 months old! How did that happen? Everyone told me it would go by in the blink of an eye, but never could I have imagined it would go by this quickly. So, here he is! My sweet little boy is FIVE months old.

His fifth month of life has been a tough one, too. It started off with an ear infection and then a few weeks later he came down with RSV and Croup, which then ended with a double ear infection. He seems to be on the mend now and I am back to enjoying his happy little spirit. Over the past month he has really become so fun. His little personality is really begining to show and he is just HAPPY! He still loves to look at himself in the mirror; it always brings a big smile to his face to see himself. He has began making very erratic movements with his arms...often tossing, with great force, anything that is in his hand. He hit a young girl in front of us at church last week when he hurled his rings at her head. He is almost sitting up, loves to talk and squeal and has found he can pull Rex's hair out. We began a swim class and, even though we have only gone once, he really seemed to enjoy being in the water. He still enjoys music class and loves dancing around the room...he is his mothers child! We love you baby boy and love seeing you grow...but if you don't mind, can you slow down just a little?

This months stats:

Weight: 17lbs. 10ozs (Wow! Can you believe 5 months ago he was 6lbs, 9oz)

Four Months

So, I am a little behind on posting...maybe one day we will get our Christmas pictures up. But, for now I just wanted to get Riley's 4 month picture up. Can't believe my baby is over 4 months old. He is so much fun! He has been sleeping through the night for quite sometime, but he is truly just such a happy and fun baby. Over the past month he has begun to really grab onto things and reach out for his toys and to his mobile. He laughs and smiles and chatters away! One of my favorite things is going to pick him up and seeing that grin...just melts my heart. He is finally sleeping in his own bedroom in his crib and is doing pretty well. I think he has made the transition better than I have!

Here are his stats from his 4 month appointment:

Height: 25 1/2 inches - 75th percentile
Weight: 16 lbs 1 oz - 75th percentile
