Look Out World!

After years of reading blogs of friends and family we have decided to jump in and join the blogging world! As I pondered about what I could possibly have to say, I decided there was no better way to start than by giving a review of 2008...

January 2008, we rang in the New Year with friends, family, and a couple of dogs!

February was a slow month, but we did make our annual trip down to Houston to celebrate our sweet niece's 5th birthday.

March held a little bit more excitement! Chris and his brother, Chad, made a trip to Orlando, Florida to celebrate Chad's birthday.

and... we made our annual trip to Beavers Bend, OK to "camp" with our amazing friends from church. We so look forward to this trip! I can't wait for 2009... just a little over 2 months to go!

Let me introduce our lap dog, Rex. It appears he is a little afraid of the camp fire. Rex loves Beavers Bend just as much as the rest of us!

The month of April belonged to Chris as he celebrated his 28th birthday. We celebrated with our annual birthday cookout

May is always a busy month! This year we celebrated as Courtney, Chris's sister, graduated with her masters from ACU.

June was quite a month! After the school year ended, I went to Washington D.C. with around 100 7th and 8th graders.

We then went on vacation to Cabo san Lucas. If you are looking for a vacation spot, this is the place to go!

July was truly an uneventful month!

In August Chris was informed that he was going to be promoted! We celebrated at The Old War... great food!

In 2009, we branched from our small group of 5 years and ventured out on our own. What an amazing blessing that has been. Our new little group is incredible and has had such an impact on our lives. Thank you for your friendships, love, prayers and support this year! You have all been a blessing!

So, September... we enjoyed a fun night with our group! Who doesn't love to bowl?

... apparently not Kim!

October is my birthday month and we danced the night away!

November marked our 5th year of marriage. I love you, Honey! He surprised me with a romantic night at The W and dinner at Hibiscus.

Can you believe that was 5 years ago... Boy, how time flies!

And, finally December! Christmas was with Chris's family this year. Christmas Eve we attended a beautiful candle light service at church and then returned home to eat and open presents. What a fun night!

Even Rex got in the holiday spirit!

So, what will 2009 hold? I can't wait to find out!
